2023 IMSA GS Championship Within Reach for Rebel Rock
The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge series 2023 season finale takes place on Friday, October 13, with the Fox Factory 120, where teams will battle it out for 120 miles at the 2.54-mile, 12-corner road course at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. And thanks to a strong second half of the season, the team at Rebel Rock Racing is within reach of a potential championship in the No.71 Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R on Forgeline’s race-proven one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels.
Rebel Rock Racing’s 2023 season has finished strong, including a pair of recent victories for the duo of Frank Depew and Robin Liddell at Road America and Virginia International Raceway. And even though they fell short of the podium at the endurance race under the lights at Indianapolis, they still managed to finish ahead of the first place team of Robby Foley and Vin Barletta in the No.96 Turner Motorsport BMW. Going into the final race of the 2023 season, the Rebel Rock Racing team is only 60 points out of first place. So with 70 points separating first and third place finishes, a solid finish at Road Atlanta could potentially allow them to secure the 2023 season championship.
If you won’t be at Road Atlanta to see this race in person, then you can catch the live broadcast on either IMSA TV or Peacock on October 13 beginning at 12:25pm ET, and you can watch the CNBC rebroadcast on October 22 from 11:30am to 1:30pm ET.
