Ken’s 1602whp GT500 Sets Half-Mile Record at Airstrip Attack Indy on Forgeline Forged Monoblock GS1R Beadlock Wheels
It was an exciting weekend of high speed racing, at the 2023 Shift S3ctor Indy Airstrip Attack, presented by Indiana Corn and First Farmers, at the Marion Municipal Airport in Marion, Indiana, on August 11-13. While there was no shortage of Forgeline-equipped cars who found competitive success on the Marion Municipal runway, at least one managed to set a new half-mile record.
Ken’s 2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 was built by Fathouse Performance and is equipped with their 1400R package. Ken say’s that Fathouse gave his car “all the sauce” and ended up producing 1602whp on the dyno, the highest horsepower GT500 that Fathouse has produced so far.
Ken’s GT500 build was finished during the week leading up to the event, and Ken took delivery on site at the Airstrip Attack event. Despite having no prior seat time, Ken proceeded to set a new 2020+ GT500 half-mile record, running a best pass of 195.2 mph!
